Our Scout Troop covers boys and girls from 10-14.5 years old. We aim for 'Everyday Adventure' and teach 'Skills For Life' through weekly meetings, camps, expeditions, hikes, climbing, water activities, conservation work, orienteering, indoor and outdoor games and so on. Scouts learn teamwork and leadership, how to deal with emergencies, and a wide variety of other useful skills (they have a lot of fun too).
Information for visitors: Scouts wear a uniform and earn many badges working towards the Chief Scouts Gold Award which most of our Scouts earn before they move on to Explorer Scouts (14-18 years old). 1st Warton Scout Group also has a Beaver Scout Colony (for 5.75-8.5 year olds, core age range 6-8, meets Mondays at Warton Village Hall from 5.45-6.45 pm) and a Cub Scout Pack (for 7.5-11 year olds, core age range 8-10.5, meets Mondays at Warton Village Hall, 6.45-8.15 pm).
